Looking Out
Los Angeles freeway mural by California artist Kent Twitchell. This is one of two portraits (of local artists Lita Albuquerque and Jim Morphesis) that make up a piece titled 7th Street Altarpiece.  I made this photograph shortly after the mural was completed in 1984 while I was in L.A. to cover the Summer Olympic Games.  It remains one of my favorite "found" images. (I'd like to thank Montreal artist 'Neath' for reacquainting me with the authorship of this work through his blog entry at Walking Turcot Yards.)
